Afterward, continue the journey to Kriens, the picture-postcard alpine village nestling at the foot of Mount Pilatus. Here, hop on a panoramic gondola and enjoy a birds-eye view of the village below as you take the aerial cableway to reach the top, over 2,000 meters above sea level. Admire the breath-taking and spectacular view over the surrounding mountains and lakes, and enjoy free time to stop for a bite to eat or hike to the summit.
Hold on to your hat as you prepare for another adventure as you board the world's steepest cogwheel railway (48% gradient) to descend Mount Pilatus to reach the lakeside hamlet of Alpnachstad, from where you will board a ferry for a scenic one-hour lake cruise to Lucerne.
