Donated by the citizens of New York, this claimed the honour of being the first sculpture of a writer ever to be placed on Literary Walk and started a rich tradition. Take a pause at the Bethesda Fountain Overlook to admire the famous centerpiece or make the short trip to Strawberry Fields to pay tribute to John Lennon, whose life was tragically cut short in this city.
