Join us for a divine tasting tour as we introduce you to both the popular and lesser-known gastronomic treasures of Budapest. This Budapest food tour starts at the Central Market Hall, a city landmark that’s over one hundred years old. There, we’ll taste some slices of salami and sausages, get acquainted with the history of the building, and hear a brief introduction on what is eaten and how it’s eaten in Hungary.
The hidden streets of downtown are next on the menu, we’ll take a stroll ahead towards one of our favourite little eateries where we can try some tasty meat product alongside the locals. Then we ’ll also stop for a seasonal sweet treat – chocolate bonbons from an award-winning chocolate factory or Budapest’s best ice-cream in the summer.
Feeling thirsty yet? Your guide will take you to a cool vintage bar next for a refreshing spritzer and an education in Hungarian drinks. Our foodie adventure then takes us through the Jewish district, where we’ll admire the largest and most beautiful synagogue in Europe and enjoy a tasting of more local food. Our stops will include a lovely little fish bistro and a nice modern restaurant with a connection to the Jewish culture where we can learn about typical Jewish food and traditions.
From there we will make our way to the pièce de résistance – tasting a delicious, famous chicken paprikash and a real local dessert in an authentic restaurant just by the beautiful Andrássy Avenue, a noted UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll finish our Budapest food tour happily full of some of the best Budapest food in town. Redeem informationVoucher type: PrintedPrinted Voucher.
