BAH COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME
The Country Music Hall of Fame is a must for all fans of Country and Western Music. Located in downtown Nashville, this state of the art building shaped like a classic Cadillac tail-fin is completely dedicated to music; from the windows that mirror the configuration of piano keys to the diamond-shaped radio mast and the round discs surrounding the tower symbolising records and CDs. From the air the building can be seen to be in the form of a bass clef.
The story of Country Music is brought to life in the Songwriter's Theatre which provides live music on stage for your entertainment. Then at the breathtaking Country Music Hall Of Fame Rotunda you'll see natural light streaming from above bathing the bronze likenesses of the artistes enshrined in the hall.
The permanent collection includes the Moving Image Collection, the Bob Pinson Recorded Sound Collection that includes 98% of all pre-World War II country recordings ever made, the Oral History Collection, the Collection of Still and Moving Images, the Oral History Collection and the Artefact Collection where you'll find Memorabilia including cars and musical instruments dating back to the 1920s. There are also many travelling exhibitions.
The entrance fee includes admission to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum – the World's largest popular music museum and the Celebrity Audio Tour that brings history to life with the voices of artistes such as Vince Gill, Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels and Bill Cody, WSM radio personality and GAC Master Series host.
